- Hug your school
- Hug a tree in the school yard
- Circle the school yard in a symbolic hug
- Do a “walk” in your neighbourhood, at your local park
- Organize a skate-a-thon, dance-a-thon, skipping event
- Choose a “special” day for your event – Hallowe’en, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s, Mother’s or Father’s Day

| In addition to events suggested for elementary schools fulfill community hours graduation requirement by volunteering at Meagan’s Walk in the following areas: |
| |
- Distributing flyers to businesses in your neighbourhood
- Organizing materials for distribution for mailing prior to Meagan’s Dinner Dance Gala and Meagan’s Walk
- Assisting at the Gala at silent and live auction activities
- Volunteering at Meagan’s Walk in food and t-shirt distribution, marshalling, clean-up etc.
- Organize your high school to come out and hug Sick Kids Hospital on Mother’s Day with all the other supporters of Meagan’s Walk – challenge neighbouring schools to join you in Meagan’s Walk

| Raising Funds: |
 |
- Collect pledges for your school’s planned event
- Host a school bake sale, penny drive, loonie or toonie day
- Organize a “dress down” or “dress up” day – students donate a specific amount to participate
- Have a “crazy hat” day – pay for the privilege of wearing your hat in school all day
- Ask for donations to Meagan’s Walk in lieu of birthday gifts
