Meagan’s Walk, and our not-for-profit entity the Meagan Bebenek Foundation, need your help to continue to support our Hug around SickKids and to help us grow - there are so many children around the country and world who need to feel the power of our Hug.

The Meagan Bebenek Foundation directs receipted donations to support both brain tumour research at the Brain Tumour Research Centre (BTRC) and the Meagan's Walk Neuro-oncology Fellowship Program at SickKids. This leads to improved care, diagnoses, treatments and outcomes for young patients as brain tumours are the leading cause of cancerous deaths in children. 

In order to continue our programming and grow our Hug, we require funds to support our operational expenses, like staffing, rent and event expenses. With this operating model we rely on the generous support of partners and our community members like you.
Meagan's Walk - Creating a Circle of Hope was established in 2001 shortly after Meagan Bebenek passed away from a malignant and inoperable brain tumour.

The Meagan Bebenek Foundation shares a message of hope, increases awareness about paediatric brain tumours and raises valuable financial resources for research through our signature event, Meagan’s Walk and Hug.

Grow our Hug – your generous contributions to this campaign will help support our operating budget for 2020 and includes:

Office Overhead – Rent, Utilities, Supplies

Signature Walk Event Expenses – Permits, A/V & Stages, Tents & Tables, Barricades, Police & Event Security, T-shirts, Advertising & Promotion

Staff required to support and grow our Hug and important work for paediatric brain tumour research.

While contributions made towards this campaign will be applied directly to our operating expenses they are not eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
