“My first encounter with Meagan’s Walk took place nearly 17 years ago when I met founder Denise Bebenek. I was on assignment for CTV News Toronto and Denise shared her heart wrenching story with me. Having interviewed thousands of people over two decades in broadcasting, few stories have touched me the way Denise’s has.
The best thing about being involved with Meagan’s Walk is the knowledge that I am part of something that is having a global impact on the battle against paediatric brain tumours, while bringing comfort and hope to so many children and their families.
Meagan’s Walk has enriched my life and it is a cause that our entire family has embraced. The story of Meagan has captured the imagination of my two little girls. We can’t imagine Mother’s Day weekend without hugging the hospital and some of its youngest patients.”
